Reason Established: Established in 1999 by Board of Regents MO 80-1999, the Center was named for Sydney and J.L. Huffines in 2003 by Board of Regents MO 99-2003. The Institute is an organizational unit of the College of Education and Human Development in the Department of Health and Kinesiology, created to facilitate an active interchange of information and research findings among strength and sport conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, health and wellness coordinators, clinicians, sports physiologists, clinical physiologists, and rehabilitation specialists.
