Established in 2001 as one of the regional units of the International Programs Office at Texas A&M University, the EU Center of Excellence (EUCE) is one of ten centers in the nation designated and funded by the European Commission as a center of excellence, and is the only such center in the southwestern part of the United States. The mission of the EUCE is to support and enhance the European educational, research, and outreach activities at Texas A&M University; increase the level of knowledge of the European Union, and promote a better understanding of the policies and issues that influence the transatlantic relationship.
