Large-Scale Scientific Simulations, Center for
  Director: Information is unavailable.
Type: Center, established on 2005-12-05 under Minute Order 031-2006.
Reason Established: Established as a joint Texas A&M University and Texas Engineering Experiment Station center reporting to the Dean of the College of Engineering and Director of TEES and the TAMU Vice President for Research to provide for computational simulation of complex physical processes in industry and in national defense. Such imulations help designers and analysts assess the behavior of engineered and natural systems under a variety of conditions that are difficult or impossible to test experimentally. In addition, when experiments are feasible, simulation plays a vital role in the design of the experiments and the interpretation of their results.
