Reason Established:
Established as a joint Texas Engineering Experiment Station, AgriLife Research, and Texas A&M University institute reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Engineering, the Vice Chancellor for Agriculture and Texas A&M's Vice President for Research, INSER's initial scope of work includes four specific areasfor collaboration between the Texas A&M System members and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory: national security leadership, nucllear non-proliferation, predicitive scientific simulation, and homeland and international security. However, it is envisioned that INSER will ultimately serve other national-security organizations in addition to the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; at which time, INSER will be prepared to broaden its scope.
