Reason Established: Established as an organizational unit of the College of Education and Human Development, the Principals' Center is to be entirely self-supporting. Its primary goal is to provide a) training b) research, and c) technicla assistance to the principals of Texas and to the schools they serve. A secondary goal is to make a national impact through a) its participation in the International Network of Principals' Centers and professional association,s b) its publications in academic and practitioner journals, c) policy statements to governmental agencies that establish conditions for the training and professional development of principals.
