Reason Established: Established as an organizational unit of Texas A&M University in the Department of Statistics in the College of Science with the goal of developing and promoting the use of modern statistical methodology in genomics, with special focus on microarray studies, proteomics, statistical genetics and molecular biology. We are supported by grants from the National Cancer Institute, the National Science Foundation, the National Human Genome Research Institute, the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences and we run a Bioinformatics Training Program.
